Chapter 9
What seemed to be forever, I walked alone through the park. It was daylight and people were around.
‘I hate people!’ I thought to myself.
Somewhere in the distance I saw the same blue hair that belonged to Yamcha’s girlfriend. I iced my heart preparing to see *him* run up to her with ice cream for this irregularly hot day. He didn’t, but someone less sure did. His black hair seemed to stand on end, going into one giant cone on top of his head making him look quite comical, but I did not laugh. He handed the ice cream to the girl; I made out the words ‘Arigato Vegi-chan’. I immediately assumed a brother, but she wouldn’t have called him ‘Vegi-chan’. She startled me even more by kissing the man fully on the lips (AN: If you’ve ever watched DBZ, you’ll know that Yamcha & Bulma actually went out for awhile, then she cheated on him with Vegita and had Trunks! That’s in a nutshell though. For the rest of you who didn’t know I just clued you in.). My eyes widened with surprise. I crept closer to find out what that bakayaro was doing. I stopped close enough to hear what that "lovely lady" (AN: replace "lovely Lady" with the biggest insult for a woman you can think of, hey I’m trying to keep this for all readers!) was saying.
"Don’t worry Vegi-chan, the baka doesn’t even now! He’s sooo stupid! Ha! He can’t even tell I’m pregnant! Just wait he’ll be out of the picture soon enough, just as soon as I get another check from him."
(AN: Gomen for another one, but if you can’t tell I don’t really like Bulma, especially for what she did to Yamcha)
‘She’s using him! The-ooooh- I’m not going to think it. I should tell him. But he wouldn’t believe me; he’d only think that I was trying to get him to dump her for me. I won’t do it; nevertheless I don’t want him to be used. Maybe I could use ‘Dead Scream’ on her, yah that might work, but I couldn’t.’
While hiding in the bushes I noticed Yamcha walking down the path.
‘Iya! He’s going to see them! He’ll be heartbroken!’ But he was walking to quickly for me to stop him.
"B-Bulma-chan?" he stuttered as he saw his girlfriend happily kissing her lover.
"Oh! Ohayo Yamchie-chan." She pouted. "Gomen Vegi-chan, looks like I won’t be getting that last check." Then of all things, she giggled.
Of all my years at the Time Gate, I’d never seen something so horrendous. Yes I’d seen thing very similar, but the women GIGGLED!
"B-but I thought-" he was cut off.
"News flash Fymako, she’s mine. She’s having’ *my* kid. And," he scoffed, "she *never* loved you! Don’t see how someone could." Then the ‘happy couple’ laughed. Full-blown laughter.
"I can’t believe you would do this to me! How long were we together? Two *years*!"
"I only went out with you was because you had cash, and Vegi-chan and I needed it. You do realize that I am four months pregnant, oh and Vegi-chan has asked me to marry him! Isn’t that wonderful! Don’t tell me you actually believe me when I said that I loved you. Oh you did, oops!"
I thought I could see the tears stinging in his eyes. I could feel the layers of ice melting away; I wanted to be beside him. Then the couple turned to walk away, then-
"Ja Ne koibito!" she called over her shoulder.
He just stood there frozen. Eyes wide with shock. Then he pulled a tiny box from his pocket, and opened it; a tiny diamond rested in a gold band. Yamcha closed the box and looked to the lake. He walked close to where I was hidden and with all the power he hand threw that box into the middle of the lake. People looked at him as if he was crazy, but he obviously didn’t care. Then he sat on the ground beside me (not noticed by him) and he cried. Just like I did when I found out he loved her. Before I knew what I did my hand found his shoulder. He was surprise needless to say that I was beside him.
"Daijoubu da?" I asked.
"Iya." He answered. I looked at the ground. ‘This is going to be hard.’
"Yamcha-c-san, why don’t you come back to my home, it is not far."
"Arigato but no. I’m fine here." He did not look at me.
"I insist. Gomen but I don’t think you’d like all these people to think you are crazy."
"Setsuna-san my heart has just been broken, I don’t need you to criticize me."
I sat down beside him.
"I would never criticize you. Believe me, I know how you feel."
He looked at me for the first time. His eyes were red; his cheeks were streaked with tears. He looked like a lost little boy I let my hand brush away the remaining tears. I leaned forward close to his ear.
"Fear not Sailor Pluto is here to help."
A small smile tugged at his lips.
"Ikuzo Yamcha-san," I stand and offer my hand. He took it. I felt some sort of electric shock almost go through our hands.
"Um, where are you taking me?" he asked.
"To my home."
"…"
"Don’t worry, the *house* I live in with Michiru, Hotaru and Haruka, not the Time-"
A piercing scream shrilled the air. I whirled around. A youma stood eight feet tall that appeared to be made of water was not twenty feet away with it’s watery hands wrapped around a woman’s neck.
"Help me!!" she screeched.
"Kami-sama it’s Bulma!" he yelled and started to run towards her.
"Iya!" I grabbed his arm with amazing strength.
"Let go!!!"
"I can’t let you! Don’t worry the Senshi will be here soon!"
He looked at me stunned.
"Demo-"
"I cannot transform in front of all these people." I whispered.
"Nani?!"
"Vegi-chan!!" Bulma yelled.
I saw a pained look cross his beautiful features, Vegita ran to Bulma only to be pulled into the watery hold. I held Yamcha back as well as I could. But I couldn’t just stand there waiting. I could see that the youma was doing more than sucking up their energy; it was actually taking their life force. Bulma and Vegita didn’t stand a chance.
Yamcha saw it too, and broke loose from my tight hold. I saw him running to Bulma to help her, and I did something I thought I’d never do.
"TIME STOP!!!!" I yelled as loud and as powerful as I could. Everything stopped. No one moved. No one made a sound. I walked over to Yamcha, there was a water tentacle reaching for him. I knew that as soon as I ended the spell I would die. So I did what I could. I released Bulma and Vegita and moved them far away. I then moved Yamcha even farther away, but in sight of Bulma, for I knew that he loved her.
In that last moment I memorized his every feature. The way his hair fell over his shoulders, the exact colour of his eyes, the boldness of his chin and strong jaw line. Most of all I memorized his lips, the way they curved, their colour, I remember running a finger over them. Soft and silky. How I wanted them against my own. Gently I kissed him, so softly, but I didn’t linger. I pulled away sharply. I looked him in the eyes, so peaceful, yet so defiant, graceful yet dangerous. I took a deep breath and willed time to return, and it did. I felt myself falling….

Chapter 10 (Never thought I’d get this high)
I felt myself falling….
Then hit the hard ground. My breathing was harsh and raspy. I looked up I couldn’t see very well, my vision had blurred.
‘Setsuna!’ I heard a voice in my head call. ‘Why did you stop time?’
‘I had to save him.’ I responded without a pause.
‘Setsuna I told you long ago never to fall in love. For it was your duty to guard the Gate of Time for eternity, and you disobeyed me, sweet Setsuna.’
‘I had to Queen Serenity. I did not want him dead. I love him too much.’
‘Even if he does not love you back?’
‘Hai.’
‘You are very brave Setsuna.’ She finally spoke.
‘I am not brave you Majesty, only in love.’
"Setsuna!" I heard a voice call from the outside world. I could here a battle blazing. But two arms were around me tight. I could here a heartbeat. Rhythmic, hypnotic. I felt so safe. "What did you do?"
"I stopped time." I managed to whisper.
"What’s wrong with you?"
"I am forbidden to stop time, the punishment is death."
"Iya Setsuna you can’t!"
"Why not Yamcha-chan?" he sat speechless for a moment.
"B-because you can’t!"
"Yamcha-chan, you know how I feel and I know that you do not feel the same. That is why I am giving you a second chance at life. So here I leave you."
"NO! The Senshi can help you! They just destroyed the youma. T-they can help!"
"No one can help me Yamcha-chan. No one." I placed my hand on his chest. ‘I feel so safe. I’m not afraid.’
"Onegai! Don’t leave!!!"
"I must. A-aishiter-" I was cut short with his lips crashing on mine. I lost all my breath, however also lost all control. I kissed back begging for more. With that plea he deepened the kiss. His lips were softer than I had ever imagined. He tasted so sweet that I couldn’t describe. My weak hands went around his neck pulling him closer, his arms tightened so I couldn’t move away. My heart soared. His tongue licked my closed lips. I opened them willingly; he explored every corner of my mouth as I explore his. This kept me alive for that much longer.
But as the saying goes: ‘All good things must come to an end.’ And it did, we slowly parted. His breath came in short quick gasps, but no breath came to me, though I could still hear. Black surrounded me, beckoning me away.
‘No, onegai. Let me stay! Onegai!’
"NO! SETSUNA!!"
"Iya, Setsu-chan. Kami-sama no. Masaka." I heard Haruka’s voice.
"Puu! You have to be able to send me home! Without you I can’t. You can’t leave Puu!"
With the thought of Chibi-Usa her Time Key appeared in my fingers, and fell from my hand. My eyes closed and my body went limp. I heard a screech and then a light out of the darkness. I walked towards it. A figure stood in front of me. Her long white gown flowed amply around her feet, her hair done exactly like Usagi-chan’s.
"Konnichi-wa Queen Serenity." I greeted and bowed.
"Setsuna, Setsuna, Setsuna. How long ago did I set that rule?"
"Millennia’s ago my Queen."
"And after all these Century’s you break it."
"I did not do it purposely. It, um, just happened."
"As love normally does." She seemed to be pondering that phrase.
"Queen?"
"Hai? Oh, sumimasen Setsuna." She paused, "I cannot forgive you for breaking the rule of stopping time," I grimaced at what she was about to say, "however I can understand your feelings for this man. That is why," she smiled, "I’m sending you back."
The look on my face must have been priceless for she began to chuckle.
"You look surprised Setsuna. You did not expect me to understand your feeling for that human? I was once in love too my dear, and your act of stopping time was brought on by your feelings for him. That is why I’m sending you back."
I nod. But I could not encase my happiness I through my arms around the gracious queen that had just fulfilled my every dream. Now if he only would return my feelings.
"Setsuna, I warn you now. It is a difficult road. He still loves the other, but Minako was right. You and he are bonded by souls. You are meant to be together. Gambatta."
She disappeared. The walls were retreating. I was going back into the black void. I felt lost, confused, where was I going? I knew she said that I was going back, but I had no clue to which direction I was going. I could feel wind on my skin. Then water. Rain? Or tears? I was back, but I wasn’t breathing.
‘Breathe! Breathe you baka!’ I thought nastily at myself. Oxygen filled my lungs. I heard many gasps and one high-pitched ‘Kami-sama!’ from Usagi. I felt two arms tighten around me.
"Oh Setsu-chan! Don’t you ever do that again! Oh Setsuna!" Michiru hugged me with all the strength she could muster. Then it occurred to me. Yamcha wasn’t holding me anymore.
"I should hit you Setsuna-baka!" Haruka yelled.
"Urusai Haru-chan." Makoto ordered.
"Puu." I felt the little girl curled up in my lap. I draped my arm over her figure. She took hold of my arm and tightened it around her.
I spoke for the first time: "Arigato Queen Serenity. Arigato Gozaimasu."
"S-setsuna-san?"
I turned my head towards the voice. Yamcha stood there to the left of me with the biggest look of shock I’d ever seen.
"You’re alive?" he asked unsure.
"Very mush so." I whispered.
He stood there stunned. Then I heard it.
"She’s a witch! She stopped time! Witch I say!" Bulma yelled through out the crowd, Yamcha got angry.
"Bulma." He said calmly.
"Hai Yamchie-c-"
"Fymako-san to you now. Who saved you Keyo-san (AN. That’s Bulma’s last name. Not REALLY though. I needed her to have one and she doesn’t have one in the series that I know of, so I just gave her one)?"
She stood speechless for a moment then said: "Why Vegi-chan of course."
"Wrong. Setsuna saved you. Yes she stopped time, I’m not telling you how, and saved you, him," he motioned to Vegita, "and that unborn kid. Just because she knew that I still loved you. But you know something Keyo? Setsuna is much better than you! She’s caring, she’s heroic, and she doesn’t LIE!"
Finishing that statement. He walked over to me and scoped me up into his arms. I wrapped a hand on his neck and laid the other on his chest.
"Ikuzo." He stated.
Usagi-tachi followed him back to his tiny apartment. On entering his apartment he led the group into his bedroom again and laid me down.
"How do you feel?" he asked.
"Dizzy." I responded trying not to drown in his gaze. He brushed some hair from my face I shivered under his touch.
"Are you cold?"
"Iya."
He didn’t listen. He brought up the blanket at the end of the bed and placed it over me. The girls looked at me.
"Setsu-chan? Are you still going to be a Senshi?" I heard Hotaru ask.
"Hai Hotaru. How could I not?"
"Because I was really mean to you Setsuna." Rei stated.
"You have a hot temper Rei-chan. I was distracted." I answered.
"Well Setsuna-chan Mamo-chan and I have a date so we hafta go. What about the rest of you girls?" she asked a little sternly. Suddenly all the girls had to go somewhere. Ami and Chibi-Usa had to study, Minako had to talk to Motoki; Haruka had a racing event to watch. Michiru and Hotaru had a violin class. Makoto had to clean her apartment and Rei had to go look after her Grandfather. They all shouted a ten part ‘Ja Ne’ as they left.
"Would you like something to eat?" Yamcha asked.
I shook my head.
"Would you like to get up?"
"Whatever you would like to do Yamcha-san."
"What no ‘Yamcha-chan’?"
"You liked that?"
"It’s better than ‘Yamchie-chan’."
I giggle.
"All right Yamcha-chan."
He looked doubtfully at me for a moment.
"May I call you Yuukake?"
I looked at him in surprise. ‘Sunset? He wants to call me sunset?’
"Hai." I whispered.

**30th Century Crystal Tokyo**
"Neo-Queen Serenity, Sailor Pluto has returned from the Time Gate my Queen." The guard stated.
"Show her in."
I walked in the throne room decorated with large pillars, drapes and a few colours, gracefully holding my staff. I saw Usagi-chan, now Neo-Queen Serenity sitting on her throne beside her husband the used to be Mamoru-kun, now ‘Neo-King Endymion’ to me. She stood and you could clearly see the child growing within her.
‘Nine months now? I think so.’
I knelt on one knee, and then I was told to stand. The guards were dismissed and before I knew what happened, Usagi had me in one of her *hugs*.
"DidyoutellYamchathatyouwerecomingback?" she said without even taking a breath. I was amazed that she could still do that.
"Iya Usa-chan."
"Why not?"
"Because I wanted to surprise him."
"Ohhh! He’s been going crazy! The Senshi and I are ready to kill him! Oh you have to let me tell him! You’ve been gone sooo long!"
"Two months Usagi-chan. Two months."
"But if that’s long to me, it’s *forever* for your husband, and you know how he gets when you leave for more than a week!"
"I know, I know. I’ve missed him horribly. If I had a choice I’d stay here with him all the time. But Usagi-chan I cannot return to the-"
"Shhh! Go hide! He’s coming!"
I complied by hiding behind King Endymion’s throne. The King chuckled at his wife’s antics, and mouthed the words ‘Welcome home’.
"Neo-Queen Serenity," I heard his voice. My heart went flip-flop. I wanted to run out and kiss him with all my strength. "Has there been any news from my wife?"
I looked at him; dressed like a prince he was dashing, regal yet calmly.
‘Not to mention sexy.’ I thought to myself.
"I’m afraid not Lord Yamcha. She has many duties at the Time Gate. She may not return for another two months or so. Maybe three. You know how busy she can get fighting all those Time Youma’s all by herself." I nearly laughed out loud. All the Senshi knew how much he hated me fighting youma’s alone at the Time Gate. Usa was pushing all his buttons. I could feel him getting angry.
"Neo-Queen," I could tell he was annoyed I quietly chuckled, "it has been two months already! If it is possible I would like to join her at the Time Gate."
"Gomen, but that is unlikely. As I said before she has many duties and if a youma does attack the Time Gate, she cannot have you to worry about. She needs her full concentration on the battle that she must win, by herself," She looked evilly at him, "Also the fact that she has already returned." She added casually with a slight cough.
"N-nani?" he looked as surprised as King Endymion had been when Usa told him about the baby.
"Yamcha-chan." I stood from where I was hidden, my Sailor fuku gone replaced by my royal garmets.
"Yuukake!"
He ran up to me and kissed me with much passion, as he turned me around in a large circle. I giggled under his kiss and held him close. I felt at home in his arms. His warmth surrounded me shielding me away from harm. I listened to the heartbeat that had sung me to sleep many nights.
"When did you get back!" he asked excited.
"About three minutes ago!" I replied with a loving smile. I looked into his eyes. After all these years I could still drown in them. Will wonders never cease? He held me close for a long while. I didn’t care. I was home. I was home where ever we were together.
"Why didn’t you tell me?"
"I wanted to surprise you silly!"
"You did!"
"Suteki! Cuz I’ve got another surprise for you."
"Honto? What is it?"
I looked at him with seductive eyes and whispered into his ear: "How do you like the title of Daddy?"
